# Dvele

> Dvele is a US-based manufacturer of high-performance, all-electric prefab modular homes built for the climate era. Founded in 2018, Dvele homes exceed Passive House standards, are net-positive in energy, and are produced through advanced off-site manufacturing to be healthier, more sustainable, and more affordable than conventional construction.

Dvele (from the Norwegian word for "dwell") engineers homes around health, energy independence, and longevity. Core proprietary systems include Self-Powered™ (solar-plus-battery energy independence that keeps critical systems running during grid outages) and Dvele IQ™ (a home operating system that monitors air and water quality, humidity, energy use, and VOC levels).
